Changes in the Statue
Changes in the Statue decision (1) It has been decided that wherever in the Rules and Regulations the name of Patriotic Unity Movement is mentioned to write New Cyprus Party and wherever PUM is mentioned to write NCP and until the new Rules and Regulations is printed to write, read and implement them as they are and furthermore until it is decided that it has been announced enough, to write PUM in parentheses next to NCP.
Changes in the Statue decision (2) The 2nd subsection of the 2nd paragraph of the Rules and Regulations subheading The Party’s Objective and Interpretation, e) “Member”, after Cyprus’s EU membership, all EU citizens living in Cyprus and all those other than citizens that have no inconveniences in becoming members of political parties, has been decided to be changed by adding the following statement: (However, all people whom have the right to completely benefit from all rights given to citizens in these Rules and Regulations, until the laws are changed accordingly without violating the rights and powers of those who have the right to membership according to law, and to enable them to use their rights and powers, a selection is made in line with the Rules and Regulations and separate lists are drawn up.) Reason: To enable EU citizens to become members of the Party without falling in contrary with the constitution and laws that has not changed as a result of Cyprus becoming a member of the EU and its confirmation through a referendum.
Changes in the Statue decision (3) By erasing the 1st subsection of the 2nd paragraph of the Rules and Regulations subheading The Party’s Objective and Interpretation, And by introducing the following statement: 1) The NCP aims to, materialize a perfect State of social law that is democratic and open to progressive change, to welcome all labour classes and stratums in Cyprus and also targets collaboration with the left of the world and especially the left of Europe. Reason: In order for the Party’s newly rearranged program to be harmonious, the statements have been recorded in the Party’s objectives part in the new program. |
